- Allergy type(s): if you choose to provide them to personalise the experience.
- App usage: device info, approximate location (for nearby places), and interactions necessary to operate the app.
- User content (future): allergy reviews/ratings and comments you submit.

- Provide and improve the website and app.
- Manage the waitlist and contact you about launch/early access.
- Send marketing updates if you’ve opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- Show user-submitted allergy reviews in the app.
4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Contract/legitimate interests: operating and improving the service.
- Consent: marketing emails and any data revealing allergy type(s).
5. Sensitive data
Allergy type(s) may be considered special category data. We only process it with your explicit consent and only for the purposes stated here.
6. Sharing
We don’t sell your data. We use trusted processors to run the service (e.g., Google Firebase/Firestore/Hosting; Apple/Google push; mapping). They process data under our instructions.
7. Storage & transfers
We use Google Firebase. Data may be stored in the EU/US with appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs). We apply technical and organisational measures to protect it.
8. Retention
We keep waitlist and account data for as long as you use the service or until you request deletion. Reviews may remain anonymised or pseudonymised for service integrity.
9. Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. You can withdraw consent anytime (e.g., unsubscribe). Contact info@allergyadvisor.app.
